The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalisation Committee has announced the selection of local players for the national team camp ahead of the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Jordan. The fixtures are set for March, with Pakistan hosting Jordan on the 21st at Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad, followed by an away match in Jordan on the 26th.

The national camp, to be led by English coach Stephen Constantine, is scheduled to kick off in Lahore on Monday, with Constantine expected to arrive in the city on Sunday. Overseas players are also anticipated to join the squad, with Adil Nabi and Mohammad Fazal likely to be included pending FIFA clearance.

The team will train for five days in Lahore before moving to Islamabad for final preparations. Jordan’s squad is expected to arrive in Islamabad on the 19th, having already obtained visas for their visit. Goalkeeper Saqib Hanif has been recalled to the team, following his participation in the first-round camp against Cambodia under Constantine.

The support staff for the camp includes fitness coach Claudio Altieri, goalkeeper coaches Rogerio Ramos Dal Solio and Noman Ibrahim, and strength and conditioning coach Muhammad Ali Khan. The list of probables for the squad consists of goalkeepers Salman Ul Haq, Saqib Hanif, Hassan Ali, and Abdul Basit, as well as defenders and midfielders such as Mamoon Moosa Khan, Rajab Ali, and Zaid Umer, with forwards including Shayek Dost and Fareed Ullah.

The PFF has revealed that diaspora players’ names will also be considered for inclusion in the final squad. The team is set to compete in Group G against Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, and Jordan in their quest for a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The training camp will play a pivotal role in shaping the team’s strategy and preparation for the upcoming qualifiers.
