Budweiser G-League Week 2 Recap: 52 Goals Scored in Six Matches

The Budweiser G-League saw Week 2 action at the Guam Football Association National Training Center, featuring a total of six matches that collectively witnessed 52 goals finding the back of the net.

NAPA Rovers FC’s Keyth Ordoñez shone as the standout performer of the week, notching an impressive eight goals in his team’s dominant 17-0 victory over Tumon Typhoons FC. Justin Cruz, Nathan Sablan, and Miran Berisha also contributed with two goals each, while Caleb Elwell, Nathaniel Graves, and Michael Castaneda added to the scoreboard.

In another encounter, Tumon FC UOG proved too strong for Strykers FC Beercelona, securing a convincing 5-1 win highlighted by Nathan Toves’ brace and goals from Andrew Stenson, Christian Tapay, and Javian Cruz. Strykers FC Beercelona’s lone goal came courtesy of Eugene Park.

The Wings cruised to a commanding 13-0 triumph over the Crushers FC, with Yvan Tcheugoue bagging four goals. Taiyo Kanekatsu, Curtis “Meto” Harmon, and Beau Perez all notched braces, while Noah Duenas and Emmanuel Bryan also got on the scoresheet, alongside an own goal from Crushers FC.

Sidekick SC emerged victorious with a 4-1 result against the Islanders FC, thanks to strikes from Derrick Cruz, Logan Wood, Kohen Diego, and Kristian Cruz. Jherico Tiamzon managed the lone goal for the Islanders.

Guam Shipyard outlasted the Tulip Southern Cobras in a high-scoring affair, prevailing 6-3 with Jadyel Rink securing a hat trick, complemented by a brace from Jude Bischoff and a goal from Masato Rabago. Meanwhile, Jan Flores, Seth Surber, and Russell Perez found the net for the Cobras.

Tiger FC and Southern Heat Omega battled to a 1-1 draw, with goals coming from Gabriel Dixon for Tiger FC and Sein Dela Cruz for Southern Heat Omega.
