After Al Ittihad striker Abderrazak Hamdallah recently became the second-highest scorer in Roshn Saudi League history, secured by a brace against Al Fateh in Matchweek 24, we take a closer look at the marksmen that make up the all-time top-five list.

Omar Al Somah leads the way with 144 goals in the all-time scorers list, showcasing his prowess with Al Ahli from 2014. His most prolific campaign was in 2015-16, scoring 27 goals in 22 appearances, including a memorable hat-trick against Al Nassr and a four-goal haul against Al Raed.

Abderrazak Hamdallah, at 127 goals, is the only player in the top five still active in the RSL. He made an immediate impact in the Kingdom, scoring 34 goals in his first season at Al Nassr. His move to Al Ittihad in December 2021 proved fruitful, with 12 goals in his initial season and 21 goals in the next, culminating in a league title.

Nasser Al Shamrani, with 126 goals, made significant contributions at Al Shabab and Al Hilal, winning multiple top goalscorer awards and league titles. His career included a stint in the UAE before returning to Al Shabab for his final two seasons.

Mohammed Al Sahlawi, the second Saudi in the top five with 102 goals, had a notable tenure at Al Nassr, winning consecutive RSL titles and contributing consistently to the team’s success. Despite subsequent moves, he couldn’t add significantly to his goal tally in the league.

Bafetimbi Gomis, a French striker, left a lasting impact at Al Hilal with 81 goals in just three seasons. His pivotal role in securing RSL titles and AFC Champions League triumphs solidified his place in the club’s history. Gomis departed as the highest-scoring European in RSL history, leaving behind a legacy of success.

Consistency and talent define these top scorers in the Roshn Saudi League’s history, with each player leaving their mark on the league with remarkable goal-scoring feats. The competition remains fierce as players strive to surpass these legends in the Saudi Arabia Division 1.
