Despite a goal from Mohamad Awalluddin for Malaysia in the 33rd minute, Thailand held on for the win.

In another match, Afghanistan stunned Australia with a thrilling 5-4 victory. Afghanistan took a commanding 4-1 lead at halftime, with goals from Omid Kanbari and Sayed Mojtaba Hosseini. Although Australia fought back to level the score at 4-4 with three quick goals, Mahdi Norowzi’s late strike secured the win for Afghanistan.
