Indonesian National Team Faces Setback Ahead of Match Against Vietnam due to Illnesses
Indonesian national team, known as Tim Garuda, faced a setback ahead of their match at My Dinh stadium with up to five key players falling ill with fever. The absence of pillars like Ivar Jenner, Rafael Struick, Nadeo Argawinata, Muhammad Riyandi, and Sandy Walsh dealt a blow to the team’s preparation.
To address the absence of goalkeeper Nadeo Argawinata, coach Shin Tae-yong swiftly arranged for Ernando Ari to fly in on a private jet, ensuring a full squad for the upcoming match against Vietnam. In efforts to contain the illness, all Indonesian team members have been wearing masks and taking necessary precautions to safeguard their health.
In light of the situation, CNN Indonesia reported, “Masks are mandatory to prevent the spread of diseases among players. With five players down with fever nearing match day, the Indonesian team cannot afford any further setbacks. The Indonesian team’s stringent measures come as a surprise to many, as they gear up to face Vietnam in a crucial match. With player health and safety being paramount, the team is leaving no stone unturned in their preparations.
