Australia pulled off a stunning upset in their NSDF Futsal Championship 2024 opener against host Thailand, securing a thrilling 4-3 victory at the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization Central Stadium. Scott Rogan and Shervin Adeli put Australia ahead 2-0 early on, only for Worasak Srirangpirot to level the score with two goals before halftime.
A penalty from Adeli and a strike from Jamie Dib gave Australia a two-goal cushion, but a late penalty from Ronnachai Jungwongsuk couldn’t save Thailand from defeat.
