Vietnamese Futsal Team Prepares for 2024 Asian Futsal Championship with International Tournament
The Vietnamese futsal team commenced training today, March 11, in preparation for the 2024 Asian Futsal Championship set to unfold in Thailand from April 17 to April 28. To further hone their skills, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has arranged the 2024 International Futsal Tournament. This competition will feature the Vietnam team alongside three formidable guest teams: Iran, Morocco, and New Zealand.
Expressing gratitude towards the VFF for organizing this event, head coach Giustozzi Diego Raul emphasized the importance of facing tough opponents to aid the players’ improvement. As the team gears up for the challenge, Giustozzi stressed the significance of evaluating the players’ abilities during this tournament.
Looking ahead to the 2024 Asian Futsal Championship, Giustozzi acknowledged the caliber of the teams in the competition. With Thailand, China, and Myanmar as formidable contenders, Giustozzi emphasized the crucial role of preparation and match strategy for the Vietnamese futsal team.
In light of the upcoming tournament, the Vietnam futsal team is aiming to secure a spot in the top two of their group to progress to the quarterfinals. Ultimately, the team’s target is to clinch a position among the top four teams to secure a berth at the 2024 Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan.
Despite the pressure associated with such high stakes, captain Pham Duc Hoa remains optimistic. As a recipient of the Vietnam Futsal Golden Ball, Hoa is determined to lead the team to success while acknowledging the challenges ahead.
With a focused mindset on the ultimate goal of earning a coveted spot at the Futsal World Cup, the Vietnamese futsal team continues their rigorous training regimen.
