SLNA Club Expresses Dissatisfaction and Requests Review After Defeat in V-League Match

SLNA’s disappointing loss to Nam Dinh at Vinh Stadium was marked by a controversial last-minute goal from To Van Vu. The home team, feeling aggrieved, claimed the goal should have been disallowed due to an offside position.

In response, SLNA swiftly lodged an official complaint with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF), urging a review of the contentious decision. The club’s statement called for a thorough examination of the offside situation leading to Nam Dinh’s winning goal.

Seeking to prevent similar contentious incidents in the future, SLNA also proposed enhancements to video technology, television recording quality, referee training, and VAR operations within the V-League. The aim is to elevate the overall standard of matches and national championships, enhancing the experience for football fans nationwide.

Despite their dissatisfaction, SLNA emphasized their respect for the referees’ final rulings. They called upon the VFF, VPF, and tournament organizers to prioritize accuracy, fairness, and quality in crucial decision-making processes involving referees and VAR technology in the V-League. The ultimate goal is to uphold fairness for all clubs and advance the development of Vietnamese football on a broader scale.

Notably, SLNA’s petition underscores the club’s commitment to upholding sporting integrity and the overall growth of football in Vietnam. As the issue awaits further deliberation, the football community eagerly anticipates potential reforms that could enhance the overall standard of the V-League and ensure fairness and accuracy in crucial match decisions.
