Coach Van Sy Son on Nguyen Dinh Bac’s Return and Quang Nam’s Draw with Binh Dinh in V-League 2023/24

In the latest round of V-League action, Quang Nam Club faced off against Binh Dinh in a closely contested 1-1 draw. Coach Van Sy Son of Quang Nam made a significant decision to bring back Nguyen Dinh Bac for this match due to his impressive performance in training sessions. The coach emphasized the importance of allowing players like Dinh Bac to prove themselves on the field in order to grow and succeed, both for the club and potentially for the national team.

On the other side, coach Bui Doan Quang Huy of Binh Dinh cautioned against premature labeling of Dinh Bac as a star, highlighting the need for the young player to continue proving himself in various competitions. Despite his standout performance in the 2023 Asian Cup against Japan, Dinh Bac still has much to learn and improve upon in the V-League.

During the match, Quang Nam initially struggled in the first half but managed to take the lead through Lamothe Pierre’s goal in the 75th minute. However, defensive lapses allowed Binh Dinh to equalize with Vu Minh Tuan finding the back of the net just 10 minutes later. Coach Van Sy Son expressed dissatisfaction with the refereeing decisions, feeling that the home team faced challenges beyond their control, including having to rent a field for their matches.

Looking ahead, Quang Nam faces a tough test in the next round as they travel to Hang Day Stadium to take on Hanoi FC. Meanwhile, Binh Dinh will return home to play against Khanh Hoa, who currently sit at the bottom of the league standings.

Overall, the match between Quang Nam and Binh Dinh showcased the competitive nature of V-League football, with both teams eager to secure a positive result. As the season progresses, players like Nguyen Dinh Bac will have opportunities to further demonstrate their abilities and make an impact on their respective teams.
