Hanoi FC bids farewell to goalkeeper Bui Tan Truong as he joins Binh Phuoc Club in mid-season transfer period
The 2023/24 mid-season transfer window in the V-League is bustling with activity, with clubs across the league making moves to improve their squads. Hanoi FC, a prominent club in Vietnamese football, is also partaking in this transfer frenzy.
One notable departure from Hanoi FC is goalkeeper Bui Tan Truong, who has decided to leave the club with three months remaining on his contract. The veteran goalkeeper expressed his desire to seek more playing time as he nears the end of his playing career. Tan Truong, 38, has opted to join Binh Phuoc Club, where his former teammate Nguyen Anh Duc is currently serving as the coach.
In a statement to the media, Tan Truong expressed his gratitude to the Hanoi FC leadership for their faith in him and the opportunity to return to competitive action. He reflected on the memories and achievements he amassed during his time with the club and hinted at a potential return to Hanoi in the future in a different capacity.
Despite having Quan Van Chuan and Nguyen Van Hoang as goalkeeping options under coach Daiki Iwamasa, Tan Truong’s departure will undoubtedly leave a void in the squad. The experienced goalkeeper, born in 1986, has been a dependable backup for Hanoi FC, always ready to step in when called upon.
As Hanoi FC navigates through the remainder of the season, the absence of Tan Truong will be felt, highlighting the impact he had on the team both on and off the field. Fans will surely remember his contributions to the club as they bid farewell to a player who has been a stalwart presence between the posts.
With Tan Truong’s departure, Hanoi FC will look to regroup and continue their pursuit of success in the V-League. The club’s supporters can expect new faces to step up and contribute as they aim to maintain their position as one of the top teams in Vietnamese football.
