Vote for Your Isuzu UTE A-League Coach of the Month for January!
The Isuzu UTE A-League has unveiled the nominations for the Coach of the Month for January, with fans getting the chance to cast their votes for their pick from the four contenders. The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) have once again teamed up with Football Coaches Australia (FCA) to provide the shortlist for this prestigious award.
After successful performances in previous months, Wellington Phoenix’s Giancarlo Italiano and Central Coast Mariners’ Mark Jackson have made the cut once more for the January Coach of the Month accolade. Joining them in the nominations are Tony Popovic from Melbourne Victory and Ufuk Talay from Sydney FC.
The FCA panel, which includes the likes of Catherine Cannuli, Sarah West, John Kosmina, Ian Greener, and Gary Cole, will have their say in determining the winner. Each panel member will allocate three votes – three for their top choice, two for the second, and one for the third pick.
Mark Jackson of Central Coast Mariners had an impressive January record, with three wins and one draw from four games. The Mariners extended their unbeaten league run to 10 matches during the month, including important victories over Western Sydney and Brisbane Roar.
Giancarlo Italiano guided Wellington Phoenix to an unbeaten January, with two wins and two draws. Their notable triumphs over Perth Glory and Newcastle Jets showcased their attacking prowess in an exciting month of football.
Tony Popovic’s Melbourne Victory remained undefeated in January, securing three draws and a win. The team’s resilience was evident in close encounters with Central Coast, Wellington, and a thrilling victory over Perth.
Ufuk Talay of Sydney FC oversaw a resurgence in January, guiding the team to two wins and a draw. A tough loss to Adelaide United did not dampen their spirits as they finished the month strongly with convincing victories, pushing towards a top-six position.
The decision for the Coach of the Month for January in the Isuzu UTE A-League is now in the hands of the fans, as they are encouraged to cast their votes and determine who will claim this prestigious honor.
