Jordanian Football Association Seeks Amendment to Timing of Al-Nashama’s Match with Pakistan in World Cup Qualifiers
The Jordanian Football Association has requested a change in the timing of Al-Nashama’s match with Pakistan in the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. Jordan’s national team, currently in third place in Group Seven, is set to face Pakistan in a crucial match during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Jordanian Federation is pushing for the match to be held at 10:30 pm instead of 11 pm to accommodate the fasting players and staff during Ramadan. The team is hoping to build on their recent success as runner-up in the Asian Cup by securing a victory in the World Cup qualifiers.
With the technical advantage leaning towards Jordan, the team is aiming to secure a win over Pakistan to boost their chances of qualification. The Jordanian Federation’s appointment of Moroccan coach Hussein Amouta was intended to achieve success in both the Asian Cup and World Cup qualifiers.
Despite a draw with Tajikistan and a loss to Saudi Arabia, the team is eager to turn their fortunes around and make history by qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. The upcoming match against Pakistan will be a crucial opportunity for Al-Nashama to prove themselves on the international stage.
