Final Set for UAE vs Oman in West Asian Beach Soccer Championship – Jazan Beach Stadium Hosts Exciting Matchups
The West Asian Beach Soccer Championship saw the UAE and Oman qualify for the final, after defeating Bahrain and Palestine respectively. The final match will take place at Jazan Beach Stadium on May 23 at 20:00, with the winner claiming the tournament title.
In another match on the same day, Bahrain and Palestine will compete for third place at 18:30, while Saudi Arabia and Lebanon will face off earlier to determine places from 5 to 7. Kuwait secured a 3-2 victory over Lebanon in a recent match.
Sponsored by PepsiCo “Aquafina” and Al-Omais Medical Hospitals in Jazan, the championship is part of a joint agreement between the WAFF and the World Beach Soccer Organization “BSWW.” The previous edition in 2013, hosted by Iran, saw Oman take second place, followed by Palestine and Bahrain.
Seven teams participated in the tournament, divided into two groups. Group one consisted of Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Qatar, while group two included Iran, Palestine, and Iraq.
The UAE and Oman are set to battle it out for the championship title, with both teams showcasing their skills and determination throughout the tournament. The competition has been intense, with teams vying for the top spot and showcasing their abilities on the beach soccer field.
