Kedah Darul Aman FC’s majority owner, Tan Sri Dr. Mohd Daud Bakar, revealed that the team’s budget has been slashed by 35% for the upcoming 2024/2025 Super League Championship. This announcement came during a press conference in Alor Setar, where the club’s CEO, Shahrul Samsudin, and head coach, Nafuzi Zain, were present.

Dr. Daud Bakar expressed the management’s serious approach towards addressing various team issues and ensuring smooth preparations for the Super League, set to kick off in May. The decision to reduce the budget allocation was made in light of the restructuring that has taken place this year, with Dr. Daud Bakar acknowledging that winning the championship would be a noteworthy achievement.

The primary objective set by the team management is to secure a position among the top four teams in the Super League, along with progressing at least to the quarter-finals of both the FA Cup and Malaysia Cup. Nafuzi Zain, the squad manager, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the team’s status in the league and aiming for success in the domestic cups.
