Minister of Communications Steps in to Address Financial Woes of KL City Team

The financial struggles of KL City have caught the attention of Minister of Communications Fahmi Fadzil, who recently met with key figures at the Parliament building to address the club’s current issues. Among those present were Regional Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa, Mayor of Kuala Lumpur Datuk Kamarulzaman Mat Salleh, and KL City CEO Stanley Bernard.

During the meeting, discussions centered on preparing the team for the upcoming season and addressing various management concerns. Minister Fahmi Fadzil, who also serves as the club’s patron, expressed his commitment to supporting KL City as they gear up for the 2024/2025 Malaysian League competition.

Having assumed the role of Patron in June 2023, Minister Fahmi Fadzil emphasized the importance of ensuring the smooth operation of the beloved football team moving forward.

Furthermore, efforts are underway to resolve outstanding player salary issues, as confirmed by the club’s CEO, offering hope for a swift resolution.

Unfortunately, fans were met with disappointment on Friday as head coach Nenad Bacina announced his departure from KL City, leaving a void in the coaching staff.
