Cambodian Premier League (CPL) 2023/24 Match Recap: Svay Rieng Stays Top with Haber’s Brace, Crown Held to Draw

Phnom Penh, 26 February 2024 – Marcus Haber’s double strike propelled Preach Khan Reach Svay Rieng to a 4-2 victory over ISI Dangkor Senchey FC, maintaining their lead in the Cambodian Premier League. Gabriel Silva and Kriya Sareth also found the net for Svay Rieng, while goals from Louis Willy Ndongo and Jin Ryeong-cheon weren’t enough for Dangkor.

With this win, Svay Rieng sealed their 18th victory of the season in as many games, keeping a seven-point advantage over Phnom Penh Crown FC, who settled for a frustrating 1-1 draw against NagaWorld FC. Yuta Naruse and Thiva Brak were the scorers in that match.

In other CPL fixtures, Visakha triumphed 2-1 over Boeung Ket, Angkor Tiger beat Tiffy Army 2-1, Kirivong Sok Sen Chey secured a 3-0 win against Prey Veng, and Svay Rieng emerged victorious against Dangkor. The standings reflect Svay Rieng’s dominance, with Phnom Penh Crown urgently needing wins to close the gap.
