Nadeshiko Japan (Japan Women’s National Team) squad & schedule – Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024 Asian Qualifiers Final Round vs DPR Korea
Nadeshiko Japan, the Japan Women’s National Team, has announced their squad and schedule for the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024 Asian Qualifiers Final Round against DPR Korea. The first leg will take place on February 24 at the Prince Abdullah AlFaisal Stadium, with the second leg scheduled for February 28 in Tokyo.
The team will be led by Head Coach IKEDA Futoshi and supported by Assistant Coaches MIYAMOTO Tomomi and TERAGUCHI Kensuke, GK Coach NISHIIRI Toshihiro, Physical Coach OTSUKA Keisuke, and Technical Staff MIHARA Kei.
The squad features goalkeepers YAMASHITA Ayaka, HIRAO Chika, and TANAKA Momoko, as well as field players like KUMAGAI Saki, TANAKA Mina, SHIMIZU Risa, SEIKE Kiko, UENO Mami, HASEGAWA Yui, SUGITA Hina, HAYASHI Honoka, MINAMI Moeka, NAGANO Fuka, CHIBA Remina, NAKASHIMA Yoshino, UEKI Riko, TAKAHASHI Hana, ENDO Jun, ISHIKAWA Rion, FUJINO Aoba, TANIKAWA Momoko, and KOGA Toko.
Unfortunately, ENDO Jun from Angel City FC will not be able to participate due to injury. However, KITAGAWA Hikaru from INAC Kobe Leonessa has been called up to join the squad.
All matches will be held in local time, with the first leg on February 24 and the second leg on February 28. The team is gearing up for intense competition in the final round of the qualifiers, aiming to secure their spot in the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024.
