Al Taawoun regains form with draws in Riyadh and Al Ahsa

Al Okhdood error costs them against Al Taawoun, lose 3-1

Al Okhdood’s defensive errors proved costly as Al Taawoun secured a dominant 3-1 victory in front of a raucous home crowd. The Wolves wasted no time in asserting their dominance, with Musa Barrow capitalizing on a fumble from Al Okhdood keeper Paulo Vitor to open the scoring early on. Mateus Castro extended their lead just three minutes later with a clinical finish, leaving Al Okhdood reeling.

Barrow came agonizingly close to making it 3-0 shortly after hitting the post, but it was Al Okhdood who struck next through Saeed Al Rubaie to give themselves a glimmer of hope. Despite an improved showing in the second half, Al Okhdood’s hopes were dashed as a defensive lapse allowed Mohammed Al Kuwaykibi to secure all three points for Al Taawoun.

Meanwhile, Al Riyadh managed to salvage a point against relegation rivals Al Raed thanks to a spectacular equalizing goal from Knowledge Musona. After Karim El Berkaoui put Al Raed ahead, Musona stepped up with a stunning free-kick that left the opposition keeper helpless, ensuring a vital point for Al Riyadh in their bid to avoid the drop.

Lastly, Al Fateh and Damac battled to a hard-fought draw in a closely contested match. Sofiane Bendebka’s header gave Al Fateh the lead following sustained pressure, but Georges-Kevin N’Koudou equalized for Damac with a superb strike from outside the box. Despite N’Koudou’s efforts being denied a second goal after a VAR review, both teams ultimately settled for a share of the spoils after a late missed opportunity from Damac’s Domagoj Antolic.

In conclusion, it was a day of mixed fortunes in the RSL as Al Taawoun and Al Riyadh enjoyed success, while Al Okhdood, Al Raed, Al Fateh, and Damac had to settle for shared points in their respective matchups.
