AIFF Unveils Comprehensive Competitions Calendar for 2024-25 Season

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has officially released the comprehensive competitions calendar for the 2024-25 season, outlining an action-packed schedule that promises to be a feast for football enthusiasts. The senior men’s calendar is set to kick off with the prestigious Durand Cup in late July, paving the way for a thrilling season that includes the Indian Super League (ISL) starting in mid-September, the I-League in mid-October, and the Super Cup running concurrently with the league season from October to mid-May.

In addition to these top-tier competitions, the Indian Women’s League (IWL) is scheduled to commence in late October, followed by IWL 2 in late January and I-League 2 in mid-January. The AIFF Youth Leagues (U13/U15/U17) are set to have an extended nine-month calendar from September to May, ensuring continuous development and exposure for young talents. The Nomination Criteria for Member Associations have also been released, emphasizing a fair and consistent selection process for the participating clubs.

Eligibility criteria for nominating clubs have been specified for various competitions, including IWL 2, I-League 3, AIFF Youth Leagues, and the Men’s Futsal Club Championship. Member Associations are required to conduct leagues with specific team numbers and match durations, and the registration of all leagues on the Competition Management System (CMS) is mandatory. The deadline for nomination is set for June 7, 2024, giving clubs sufficient time to meet the prescribed criteria and ensure their participation in the upcoming season.

The AIFF Competitions Calendar highlights the commitment to promoting football at various levels, from grassroots to professional competitions.
