Singapore National Team Squad Announcement for FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 Qualifiers
Singapore’s National “A” Team head coach, Tsutomu Ogura, unveiled his 26-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 Round 2 qualifiers against China on March 21 and March 26. The squad, a blend of experience and youth, was carefully selected after observing SPL Clubs and players during the SPL Interim Tournament.
Included in the lineup are debuts for 22-year-old Jared Gallagher, who previously starred for Young Lions and now plays for SPL’s BG Tampines Rovers, and 19-year-old Fairuz Fazli. Both players have represented Singapore at various youth levels in regional competitions.
In a significant return, 31-year-old Faris Ramli from BG Tampines Rovers, boasting 77 caps, is back in the mix after missing out on previous call-ups. Additionally, all eight overseas-based players, including the Fandi brothers, have been called up for the crucial fixtures.
Local-based players are set to link up with Ogura and his coaching staff on March 11, while overseas players will join later based on their club commitments. Fans can secure tickets for the home clash against China on March 21 through the Ticketek platform or at the Singapore Sports Hub Box Office on match day.
Key fixtures include the encounter against China on March 21 at Singapore National Stadium, followed by the away game in Tianjin on March 26. Ticket prices for the home fixture range from $25 for adults to $10 for concessions, with an additional $1 ticketing fee.
