Etihad Becomes Mumbai City FC’s Official Shirt Sponsor

Etihad Airways has signed a multi-year agreement to become the official front-of-shirt sponsor for Mumbai City FC, starting with the 2024-25 season. This partnership underscores Etihad’s strong commitment to the Indian market and highlights Mumbai City FC’s growing stature as one of India’s top football clubs, with two Indian Super League titles and two League Cups.

This record-breaking deal in Indian football coincides with Etihad celebrating 20 years of operations in India. To mark the occasion, Etihad’s iconic A380 made a special landing in Mumbai, with three weekly flights scheduled between Mumbai and Abu Dhabi until December 31, 2024.

The Etihad Airways logo will feature prominently on both the match and training kits of Mumbai City FC’s senior and youth teams. This collaboration reflects the shared values of teamwork and excellence, aiming to bring people together while fostering ambition.

Mumbai City FC CEO Kandarp Chandra expressed his excitement, noting that Etihad’s sponsorship aligns with the club’s commitment to excellence on and off the pitch. Etihad CEO Antonoaldo Neves emphasized the airline’s dedication to strengthening ties with the Indian community, with connections to key destinations in the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
