Ahmed Sari Appointed as Technical Director of Al-Ittihad Club of Alexandria

Ahmed Sari has been appointed as the new technical director of Al-Ittihad Club of Alexandria, replacing Tarek El-Ashry after a series of disappointing results in the Premier League. Born on August 20, 1968, Sari has a distinguished career both as a player and a coach.

Starting his football journey as a striker for Al-Ittihad Alexandria Club, Sari went on to play for several other clubs, including Zamalek Club and the Egyptian national team. He was a prolific goal scorer, netting 20 goals in the 1994-95 season of the Egyptian Premier League.

Sari also represented Egypt on the international stage, participating in 18 matches and scoring 20 goals. He was part of the squad during the 1998 World Cup qualifiers and featured in various junior national teams.

As a coach, Sari has worked with numerous clubs in Egypt, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan. He held positions such as coach of the Olympic Club of Alexandria and Mansoura Club, as well as the technical director of Atletico Madrid’s youth academies. Sari has also acquired multiple coaching licenses, including the A, B, and C levels.

Having gained valuable experience across different football environments, Sari brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role at Al-Ittihad Club of Alexandria. His previous successes, including leading the Olympic Club to promotion to the Egyptian Premier League in 2013, demonstrate his ability to achieve results on the field.

With his extensive coaching background and deep understanding of the game, Ahmed Sari is poised to make an impact in guiding Al-Ittihad Alexandria to future victories and achievements.
