Al Markhiya Secures Victory with 3-2 Win over Al Gharafa in Expo Stars League Match
Al Markhiya clinched a crucial victory in the Qatar Football League over Al Gharafa in a thrilling encounter that ended 3-2. The match, originally slated for the thirteenth week of the Expo Stars League, took place at the Grand Hamad Stadium in the Al Arabi Club on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.
This win propels Al Markhiya to 14 points, while Al Gharafa remains at 41 points in the Qatar Football League standings. The goals for Al Markhiya came from Youssef Naji, who scored in the 45th + 2nd and 90th + 7th minutes, along with Iraqi Bashar Rassan finding the back of the net in the 55th minute. On the other hand, Al Gharafa managed to score through Dami Traoré in the 22nd minute and Yassin Ibrahimi from a penalty kick in the 79th minute.
Despite a missed penalty kick by Al-Gharafa’s Yacine Ibrahimi in the 79th minute, the match was intense from start to finish.
