Sri Pahang to Face Friendly Matches in Singapore Ahead of 2024-2025 Malaysia League Season
Sri Pahang has revealed that they will be heading to Singapore for two friendly matches as part of their preparations for the upcoming Malaysia League season. The announcement was made on the team’s official social media, featuring a poster with the schedule of their matches against Albirex Niigata and Geylang International.
Fandi Ahmad’s squad will kick off their pre-season campaign against Albirex Niigata, the reigning champions of the 2023 Singapore League, on April 16. Two days later, they will face Geylang International, who secured a fifth-place finish in the Singapore League last season, in their second match.
Despite the matches being confirmed, details regarding the venue, audience attendance, and ticket sales are yet to be officially disclosed by any party involved. The team’s training ground at Seberang Tambak will host these pre-season fixtures, aiming to prepare the squad for the challenges of the upcoming season after their fifth-place finish in the Super League last season.
Following their friendly encounters in Singapore, Sri Pahang will kick off their 2024-2025 Super League campaign against Kelantan Darul Naim at Temerloh Stadium on May 11. The team will be looking to build momentum and cohesion through these pre-season matches to ensure a strong start to the new season.
