Spanish Coach Paco Jemez Set to Leave Tractor FC amid Disappointing Season

Spanish coach Paco Jemez is on the verge of leaving Iranian football club Tractor as the team’s chances of clinching their first-ever Iran football league title dwindles under his leadership. The recent 4-1 defeat against Zob Ahan pushed Tractor 10 points adrift of league leaders Esteghlal, prompting speculations of Jemez’s departure from the Tabriz-based club. Currently occupying the third spot in the 2023/24 Iran’s Persian Gulf Pro League standings with 40 points, Tractor faces an uphill battle with only seven weeks left in the competition. Jemez, who took over as Tractor’s head coach in December 2022, has yet to secure any silverware during his tenure. The team is set to play against Nassaji in an away match scheduled for Friday, a crucial fixture that may influence Jemez’s future with the club.
