Kedah Darul Aman Gears Up for 2024/25 Season with 11 New Players
Kedah Darul Aman is gearing up for the 2024/25 season by bringing in 11 new players. Under the guidance of coach Nafuzi Zain, the team is determined to put up a strong fight in the upcoming Super League campaign after finishing 4th in the previous season, trailing behind JDT, Selangor, and Sabah.
Following the lifting of FIFA’s transfer ban, Kedah has revamped its squad with additions in every department. Wan Mohd Syazmin makes a return to the team after a stint with Sri Pahang last season, bolstering the goalkeeping position.
The defensive line sees the arrival of three seasoned players – Rizal Ghazali, Irfan Zakaria, and Brazilian center back Cleylton, who has recently joined the team. In midfield, four new faces will join the ranks, including Hasbullah Abu Bakar, Sony Norde, Habib Haroon, and Faiz Nasir.
Upfront, Kedah has secured the services of three new attacking talents for the upcoming season. The return of Syafiq Ahmad, along with the acquisitions of Serbian forward Milos Gordic and former Kedah youth player Afeeq Iqmal, is set to enhance the team’s offensive capabilities.
With the influx of fresh talent, Kedah’s ambitions are crystal clear – they are gunning for the league title in the upcoming season. The team’s proactive approach in the transfer market indicates a deep-rooted commitment to clinching the championship in the 2024/25 campaign.
