Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) Begins Pre-Season Campaign in Spain Ahead of 2024/25 Season

Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), the reigning champions of the 2023 Super League, have initiated their move to fly to Spain for pre-season preparations. Under the guidance of coach Hector Bidoglio, the squad is fine-tuning their skills before heading overseas for training.

Having already engaged in international friendly matches in Johor Bharu against formidable opponents from Southeast Asia, including Lion City Sailors, Chonburi, and Police Tero FC, Malaysia’s representatives in the AFC Champions League Elite (ACLE) are gearing up for a two-week camp in Alicante, Spain.

During their time in Spain, the Southern Tigers will engage in a rigorous schedule of seven friendly matches to assess and enhance the team’s capabilities. The team will be stationed at the Melia Villaitana Football Center in Benidorm, Alicante, for the duration of their pre-season campaign.

Opting for Spain as their pre-season destination after previously conducting preparations in the Middle East, JDT made the decision due to the availability of top-notch facilities at no cost. The club is eager to embrace the challenges that lie ahead as they gear up for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

The Southern Tigers are set to kick off their season with a Sumbangsih Cup match against Selangor at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium. With a strong foundation built during their previous training sessions in Dubai, the team is looking forward to honing their skills and tactics in Spain to ensure a competitive edge for the upcoming season.
