Stallion-Laguna Dominates Loyola FC in 5-0 Victory – Match Recap for April 13, 2024
Stallion-Laguna continued their winning streak with a dominant 5-0 victory over Loyola FC at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. Juan Galleana-Trujillo and Junior Ngong Sam were the heroes of the day, each scoring twice to secure the win.
Despite Loyola’s efforts to keep up with Stallion-Laguna’s pace, the latter’s recent AFC Cup experience proved to be a game-changer. New signing Jose Dourado caused problems from the left wing, while midfielder Jorrel Aristorenas held his ground against his former team.
Mexican Galleana-Trujillo opened the scoring in the 31st minute with an assist from Finn McDaniel, who later doubled Laguna’s lead. After the break, Galleana-Trujillo wasted no time in securing his brace by scoring in the 49th minute. Ngong Sam then took the spotlight with two quick goals in the 78th and 83rd minute to seal the deal.
Coach Roxy Dorlas made substitutions, bringing in players like Charlie Beaton and Rupert Baña, but Loyola failed to find the back of the net. McDaniel, who had a goal and an assist to his name, was rightfully awarded the Man of the Match honors.
The starting lineups for both teams featured key players such as Cortez and Nierras for Stallion-Laguna, and Annan and Kim for Loyola. The goal scorers for the match were Galleana-Trujillo, McDaniel, and Ngong Sam.
Stallion-Laguna’s impressive performance has set the tone for the rest of the season, while Loyola will need to regroup after this tough loss. The PFL season promises to deliver more thrilling matches as the teams continue to battle it out on the field.
