DPMM FC Announces Double Signing of Gabriel Gama and Miguel Oliveira
Brunei’s DPMM FC is gearing up for the upcoming Singapore Premier League season with two new exciting signings. Brazilian defender Gabriel Gama and Portuguese winger Miguel Oliveira have officially joined the club after successful trials, as announced on social media.
Gama, arriving from the Catanduva Under-20 team in Brazil, and Oliveira, with previous experience at Yarmouk, will soon link up with their teammates as training resumes following international duties in Saudi Arabia.
In addition to these foreign additions, DPMM FC has secured the services of Mexican striker Julio Cruz, a potent goal-scorer with a track record of success. Cruz recently impressed in the Liga de Expansion MX, claiming the Golden Boot with 10 goals in 16 league appearances.
Cruz, originally from Minantlan, has a history of goal-scoring prowess in leagues such as Costa Rica’s top flight with Cartagines and San Carlos before his fruitful spell in Mexico.
However, the club’s pursuit of Moldovan international Victor Mudrac was unsuccessful, as the player opted to remain with his current club until the end of their league campaign, leaving DPMM FC to reevaluate their options.
Despite this setback, the team has experienced changes in personnel, including the appointment of Portuguese head coach Rui Capela Batista. Key players like goalkeeper Kristijan Naumovski and defender Farshad Noor have been retained to bolster the squad’s core.
Preparations for the upcoming season include a friendly match against Chinese League 1 side Guangxi Pingguo on April 20, providing DPMM FC with a valuable opportunity to fine-tune their tactics and teamwork.
With an eye on success in the upcoming Singapore Premier League season, DPMM FC’s new signings and experienced core players are poised to make an impact as they aim for a successful campaign.
