Thai League 1 Weekend Preview: Port visit Lamphun Warriors, BG Pathum United travel to Trat
Thai League 1 action is set to resume this weekend after a two-week international break, with Port visiting Lamphun Warriors and BG Pathum United traveling to Trat.
Port, currently in third place, will be aiming for a crucial victory after drawing their last two matches. However, they will be up against a tough Lamphun side who have managed to win three out of their last four games.
Fortunately for Port, they have no injury concerns heading into this match, with key players like Bordin Phala and Suphanan Bureerat ready to start. On the other hand, Alexandre Gama’s Lamphun team is also injury-free, with players like Dennis Murillo and Mohammed Osman available for selection.
BG Pathum United, sitting in fourth place, will be looking to secure all three points as they face bottom club Trat today. The Rabbits will be buoyed by their impressive 7-1 victory over Sukhothai before the break. Veteran striker Teerasil Dangda has returned from injury, adding to their attacking options, while midfielders Chanathip Songkrasin and Sarach Yooyen are also fit and available.
In other matches today, Uthai Thani will host second-bottom PT Prachuap, and Ratchaburi will travel to Sukhothai.
On Sunday, league leaders Buriram United, now managed by Jorginho, will take on Chiang Rai United, while second-placed Bangkok United will face Chonburi. Muang Thong United will host Police Tero, and Khon Kaen will clash with Nakhon Pathom.
Excitement is building as Thai League 1 action returns, with teams eager to secure vital points in the quest for league success.
