Mumbai City FC Boost Squad with Signing of Slovakian Attacker Jakub Vojtuš
Mumbai City FC has announced the signing of Slovakian attacker Jakub Vojtuš till the end of the season, pending successful medical tests. The 30-year-old, who came up through Inter Milan’s youth system, brings experience from clubs in Poland and Romania. He most recently played for ACSM Politehnica Iasi in Romania.
The addition of Vojtuš comes at a crucial time for Mumbai City FC, as they aim to compensate for the absence of Iker Guarrotxena, sidelined for the season due to a knee injury. Vojtuš joins the squad following forward Jorge Pereyra Diaz’s return from injury, boosting the team as they lead the Indian Super League (ISL) standings.
With 39 points from 19 matches, including 11 wins and six draws, Mumbai City FC stands at the top of the league with just three Matchweeks remaining in the current ISL season. The upcoming matches against Hyderabad FC, Odisha FC, and Mohun Bagan Super Giant will be pivotal for the team as they prepare for the playoffs and defend their League Shield title.
Vojtuš’s presence adds depth and firepower to Mumbai City FC’s attacking options, providing manager Roberto Mancini with more tactical flexibility. As the team sets its sights on playoff success, Vojtuš will be eager to showcase his skills and contribute to Mumbai City FC’s quest for ISL glory.
The signing of Vojtuš marks a strategic move by Mumbai City FC to reinforce their squad during a critical phase of the season. Fans will eagerly await the Slovakian’s impact on the pitch as the team gears up for the business end of the campaign.
