Qatar Stars League 2024 e-Championship Kicks off with Exciting Matches
The inaugural Qatar Stars League 2024 e-Championship kicked off at Farcho City Hall in the Doha Festival City Mall with 12 Expo Stars League clubs participating. Group One saw intense competition with matches like Al-Sadd beating Al-Shamal 6-1, Muaither edging out Al Gharafa 3-2, and Al-Duhail triumphing over Qatar Club 6-2. Al Gharafa later surprised Al Duhail with a 6-1 victory. Al-Sadd dominated Qatar Club 8-1, while Muaither and Al Shamal settled for a 3-3 draw.
More matches unfolded, including Al Shamal’s 4-0 win over Qatar Club and Muaither’s 3-1 victory against Al Duhail. Al-Sadd narrowly defeated Al-Gharafa 5-4, and Muaither secured a 3-2 win over Al Sadd. Notable results included a 7-3 win for Al-Gharafa over Qatar Club and Al-Shamal’s 4-3 triumph against Al-Duhail. The intense battles led to Al-Sadd topping Group One with 12 points, followed by Muaither with 11 points, Al-Shamal with 7 points, and Al-Gharafa with 6 points, while Qatar Club and Al-Duhail bid farewell after finishing fifth and sixth, respectively.
Looking ahead, the second group matches are set for Friday evening, leading to four more clubs advancing. The final round, scheduled for Saturday, will determine the ultimate winner who will get a shot at the 2024 eSports World Cup qualifiers.
