Kelantan United FC, the East Coast team, has now rebranded itself as Kelantan Darul Naim FC (KDN FC), as announced by the club’s management on social media. This change aims to unite Kelantan supporters under one banner of pride, emphasizing the state’s identity. The Malaysian Football League (MFL) and First Instance Body (FIB) have approved this rebranding.

The official announcement of the name and logo change was made on 12 March 2024, coinciding with 1 Ramadhan 1445H. The club’s management highlighted that this transformation is not meant to replace the main team but to position KDN FC as a competitive force in the Malaysian League, vying with other top clubs.

President YB Rozi Muhamad and the club’s top management expressed gratitude towards MFL and FIB for endorsing the rebranding, enabling KDN FC to compete in the upcoming 2024/25 season. They also acknowledged the crucial role played by Kelantan football fans in shaping this decision.

The community’s response to the rebranding has been largely positive, with many supporters of Ms. Siti Wan Kembang’s state lauding the shift from Kelantan United to KDN FC. Expectations are high for KDN FC in the upcoming Super League season 2024-2025, with hopes that this rebranding will lead to improved performance on the field.
