Tomislav Steinbruckner Emphasizes Competition for Starting Line-Up at Terengganu FC

Terengganu FC’s head coach, Tomislav Steinbruckner, is pushing his players to fight for a spot in the starting line-up. At 58 years old, the coach is focused on assessing his squad during training and warm-up drills to determine the best starting eleven.

In an interview with Astro Arena, Steinbruckner emphasized that no player is guaranteed a place in the starting line-up. He stressed the importance of players proving themselves in training sessions and friendly matches to earn their spot on the field.

Reflecting on the previous season, the coach noted that despite having a roster of quality players competing for positions, the team encountered challenges due to issues with players on the bench. Steinbruckner’s aim for the upcoming season is to establish strong competition in every position to enhance the team’s overall quality.

With depth in the squad, Steinbruckner hopes that competitive battles for starting spots will drive the selected players to perform at their best. The coach believes that heightened competition within the team will lead to improved performances on the field.

Currently, Terengganu FC is in full preparation mode for the upcoming season set to kick off in May. As the team gears up for the new campaign, Steinbruckner’s focus remains on fostering a competitive environment where players strive to secure their spot in the starting line-up.
