Pakistan Football Federation Announces Squad for FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers against Jordan

The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has unveiled the preliminary squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers Round 2 clashes against Jordan. The showdown is slated for the 21st of March at Jinnah Stadium Islamabad, with the return leg in Jordan on the 26th of March.

In preparation for these crucial fixtures, a training camp is poised to kick off on Monday, the 11th of March 2024, in Lahore, subsequently transitioning to Islamabad. Pakistan finds itself in Group G alongside formidable opponents like Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, and Jordan.

Steering the national team ship will be Head Coach Stephen Constantine, aided by a robust support staff featuring Claudio Altieri as the Fitness Coach and a blend of goalkeeper coaches in Rogerio Ramos Dal Solio and Noman Ibrahim, alongside Muhammad Ali Khan taking charge of Strength and Conditioning duties.

The roster brims with talent across all sectors of play. The goalkeeping department sees the likes of Salman Ul Haq, Saqib Hanif, Hassan Ali, and Abdul Basit vying for the nod. Defensive duties will likely be manned by Mamoon Moosa Khan, Muhammad Sohail, Junaid Shah, Umar Hayat, Haseeb Khan, M. Saddam, Muhammad Hamza Munir, Kamil Ahmad Khan, and Muhammad Adeel.

Midfield maestros Alamgir Ghazi, Rajab Ali, Ali Uzair, Moin Ahmed, Zaid Umer, M Zahid Shah, and Ali Zafar are poised to orchestrate the game’s flow. Up top, the attacking arsenal comprises Shayek Dost, Fareed Ullah, Muhammad Waleed Khan, Muhammad Waheed, Muhammad Adeel Younas, and Yasir Arafat.
