Exciting Upgrades Ahead for MBPJ Stadium Ahead of 2024/2025 Malaysia League Season
The MBPJ Stadium’s renovation signals a positive step forward as the 2024/2025 Malaysia League approaches. The Petaling Jaya City Council shared on Facebook that the Raja Muda of Selangor visited the stadium for a briefing on the upgrade progress.
Pictures displayed by the Petaling Jaya City Council depict the current state of the stadium, designated for Selangor FC’s use next season. Notable enhancements include newly installed spectator seats in red, yellow, and blue hues in front of the grandstand. Construction of a roof frame is also underway in the Ultras Selangor section behind the goal gate.
The ongoing infrastructure upgrade at the MBPJ Stadium aims to ensure compliance with the league competition standards for the upcoming season. The Red Giants, set to compete in the AFC Champions League 2 (ACL2) stage, require a comfortable stadium for both players and spectators.
After securing a runner-up finish in the Malaysian Super League last season, Selangor FC earned qualification for the ACL2 tournament. The transformation of the MBPJ Stadium signifies a vital step in preparing a conducive environment for the team’s future fixtures.
