Perak FC’s New Goalkeeper, Haziq Nadzli, Grateful for Successful First Pre-Season Training Session

Haziq Nadzli, the new goalkeeper for Perak FC, expressed his appreciation after completing the team’s first pre-season training session. Feeling fatigued during training sessions is not uncommon for Haziq, especially considering the high intensity typically implemented during pre-season training after an extended break from competitive football.

Under the leadership of manager Yusri Che Lah, Haziq felt that the initial training session with Perak proceeded smoothly. Despite experiencing some fatigue, he acknowledged that such exertion is customary during pre-season preparations, believing that pushing through these challenges will ultimately benefit the team in the long run.

Having joined Perak on loan from Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), the 26-year-old goalkeeper anticipates stiff competition for the goalkeeper position this season. Alongside teammates Ramadhan Abd Hamid and Firdaus Irman, Haziq understands the need to perform at his best to secure his spot in the starting lineup.

In addition to the goalkeeping department, Perak has also ensured the retention of key players from last season, including team captain Luciano Guaycochea, midfielder Sunday Afolabi, and defender Jesper Nyholm. The continuity in the squad’s core players suggests stability and cohesion as they gear up for the upcoming season.
