Hyderabad FC Coach Singto Elated with Team’s Comeback in 2-2 Draw Against NorthEast United FC

Hyderabad FC’s head coach Thangboi Singto expressed his satisfaction after a thrilling 2-2 draw against NorthEast United FC in the ISL at the GMC Balayogi Athletic Stadium. Singto praised his young side for their great comeback, emphasizing the improvement in the second half with increased ball control and accuracy in passing.

Singto highlighted the team’s six or seven shots on target, a significant improvement from previous matches. He lauded the players for creating more chances and expressed hope for continued improvement moving forward.

Despite the positive result, Singto voiced his disappointment with conceding a goal from a set-piece in the second half. He acknowledged the challenges posed by NorthEast United FC’s physicality but believed his players could have handled the situation better.

The coach commended his players for earning a well-deserved point, noting that they deserved at least that much. Singto likened the draw to a victory and emphasized the importance of sticking to the basics and playing to their strengths in the second half.

Singto explained his decision not to substitute tired players like Ramhlunchhunga and Abdul Rabeeh due to a lack of bench strength, relying on their experience and regular game time. He concluded by emphasizing the significance of goals in securing points and wins and reiterated his satisfaction with the draw as a positive outcome for his team.
