KDA FC Announces ALX Kit Sponsorship Amid Salary Arrears Issue
Kedah Darul Aman FC (KDA FC) has secured a new kit sponsorship deal with ALX, despite ongoing salary arrears issues for the 2023 season. The agreement, announced on the team’s official page, is valued at RM 2 million for two upcoming seasons, running from 2024 to 2026.
“We are proud to announce the sponsorship of Sang Kenari’s official kit by the ALX brand for the next two seasons, providing sporting goods for all teams under KDA FC,” expressed KDA FC’s management. ALX, a product of AL-Ikhsan Sports, is known for its high-performance sports gear designed to elevate athletic capabilities.
This partnership will see Kedah sporting ALX jerseys instead of the previously used Lotto brand. However, the team’s fate for the upcoming Malaysian League season remains uncertain, with speculation whether they will compete in the Super League or face relegation to the M3 League due to unresolved salary payment issues.
Nevertheless, Kedah has reportedly made significant progress in preparing for the 2024/2025 Super League season, with preparations reaching an advanced stage of 85 percent completion. The players are set to commence pre-season training this week as they gear up for the action-packed season kick-off scheduled for 10th to 12th May.
As the team readies itself for the challenges ahead, the ALX partnership signals a new chapter in Kedah’s kit branding, showcasing a fresh look and aligning with the club’s commitment to performance excellence.
