Punjab FC Midfielder Madih Talal Optimistic About ISL’s Progression: A Rising Star in Indian Football

Punjab FC midfielder Madih Talal is optimistic about the Indian Super League (ISL)’s growth, highlighting its competitiveness and evolution each season. Despite being new to Indian football, Talal believes the league is in a positive phase, emphasizing the need for clubs to enhance their competitiveness on the continental stage.

Joining Punjab FC this season, Talal has swiftly become a key player for the team, showcasing his quality with three goals and five assists in 15 games. His impact has been pivotal in Punjab FC’s success, contributing to a goal or an assist in each of their four victories, with three goals in their wins. Talal’s five assists tie him for the league’s highest with Chennaiyin FC’s Rafael Crivellaro.

Reflecting on his decision to move to India, Talal credited conversations with friends who had positive experiences in the ISL for guiding his choice. The French midfielder previously aided Greek club AE Kifisia FC in their promotion to the Greece Super League and now seeks to establish himself in Indian football.

Looking ahead, the 26-year-old midfielder aims to contribute to Punjab FC’s pursuit of three points in each remaining fixture, prioritizing match-by-match focus over playoff aspirations. Talal hopes to continue developing in the ISL, aspiring to leave a lasting mark on Indian football with his youthful vigor and determination.
