MFL CEO Requests New Information from Kedah FC for Board Meeting on March 6th

Datuk Stuart Ramalingam, CEO of the Malaysian Football League (MFL), has highlighted the necessity for new updates from Kedah Darul Aman FC (KDA FC). The FIB has granted Kedah until March 5 to address their overdue salary concerns, along with requesting additional information from the team. This information will be crucial for the MFL board members to review during the meeting scheduled for March 6.

During a recent statement, Ramalingam clarified that the deadline extension was not for resolution but to acquire updated details for the board meeting on the 6th. He mentioned ongoing communication with Kedah via various letters and emphasized the importance of receiving fresh information to facilitate official discussions within the MFL.

Following a meeting of the RTG Committee, Ramalingam informed the media about the developments and reassured that efforts were being made to address Kedah’s situation. The team’s failure to rectify salary matters places them at risk of relegation to the M3 League, reflecting the seriousness of the issue within the 2023 Super League competition.

The looming deadline and the impending board meeting underscore the urgency for Kedah to provide comprehensive information to both FIB and MFL. Ramalingam’s statements indicate a proactive approach from the league in handling such matters, ensuring transparency and accountability in addressing challenges faced by participating teams.

The fate of Kedah hangs in the balance as the MFL closely monitors the situation, with their performance on and off the field crucial in determining their standing within the league. As the deadline approaches, all eyes will be on KDA FC as they strive to navigate through this challenging period and secure their future in Malaysian football.
