Syafiq’s last competitive appearance for JDT was in a match against Penang in the FA Cup 2023, which ended in a convincing 5-0 victory. Despite playing 65 minutes in that game, he was unable to find the back of the net, adding to the uncertainty surrounding his role within the team.
