King Faisal School and Huawei Saudi Arabia Partner to Launch Kingdom’s First Wi-Fi 7 Installation for Education

King Faisal School, a prominent educational institution, and Huawei Saudi Arabia have joined forces to pioneer educational technology advancement by implementing the first Wi-Fi 7 installation in the Kingdom for educational purposes. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was formally inked by Prince Mansour bin Saad Al-Saud, chairman of the school’s steering committee, and Deputy CEO of Huawei Saudi Arabia, Gibbs Wang. Witnessed by senior officials from both entities, the signing ceremony took place at KFS in the Diplomatic Quarter.

Prince Mansour emphasized the critical role of education in shaping the nation’s future, underscoring the partnership with Huawei as a commitment to offering top-notch education congruent with Saudi Vision 2030. The collaboration aims to leverage technology to create innovative learning environments, providing students with cutting-edge digital skills.

Huawei’s CEO in Saudi Arabia, Eric Yang, expressed pride in the unique collaboration with King Faisal School, envisioning the program as a trailblazer in educational technology. Through Huawei’s ICT solutions expertise, the initiative seeks to equip students with the necessary proficiencies to excel in the digital era.

In adherence to the MoU, Huawei will extend comprehensive support to KFS, encompassing various aspects such as evaluating the school’s existing ICT infrastructure, suggesting upgrades for network optimization, secure data storage, and efficient management systems. Additionally, Huawei will introduce smart classroom solutions integrating interactive whiteboards, digital learning platforms, and advanced technologies like AI, IoT, and cloud computing into the curriculum to prepare students for the digital future.

Employing Huawei’s cutting-edge Wi-Fi 7 technology, KFS students and staff will benefit from enhanced connectivity experiences, ensuring faster internet access, lower latency, and secure connections. Ongoing technical support and maintenance services will be provided by Huawei to uphold the robust performance of KFS’s ICT infrastructure.

Furthermore, professional development programs for staff focusing on ICT skills, digital pedagogy, and technology management will be instituted. Workshops and seminars for students will promote Huawei technology awareness and innovation, fostering a culture of sustainability and student-led projects.
