Establishment of New Sports Dome in SEDRA Project by Saudi Sports for All Federation and ROSHN
Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 26 February, 2024 – The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) has taken a significant step towards enhancing sports facilities in the Kingdom by partnering with property developer ROSHN to establish a new sports dome in the SEDRA project. This move aims to encourage more physical activity among the Saudi population and eliminate barriers to starting a fitness journey.
The agreement was officially signed at ROSHN’s offices by HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, SFA President, and David Grover, ROSHN Group CEO. The SFA has been proactive in introducing sports domes across the country, offering a wide range of sports facilities such as football pitches, basketball courts, tennis, volleyball, and more, along with various sports programs.
Both the SFA and ROSHN share a common goal of enriching communities with high-quality lifestyle assets. The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from both organizations, including executives and managers who are committed to promoting physical activity and community well-being.
HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud emphasized the importance of providing accessible sports facilities to the Saudi community, stating that the sports domes are instrumental in increasing physical activity among residents. Meanwhile, David Grover expressed his excitement about the partnership, highlighting ROSHN’s commitment to enhancing community sports and contributing to the Vision 2030 goals of a healthier and more active Saudi Arabia.
As part of Vision 2030’s Quality of Life program, the SFA aims to increase the percentage of the population regularly engaged in physical activity to 40% by 2030. The Federation continues to forge partnerships that align with its mission of promoting the positive impact of sports on physical and mental well-being.
ROSHN, supported by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), is dedicated to achieving the Vision 2030 goal of 70% home ownership in the Kingdom. Through unique designs and a wide range of facilities, ROSHN aims to enhance the quality of life for Saudi residents and communities.
