Exciting News: Lions to Host China in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier with New Boss and Ticketing Partner
The Singapore National Team is gearing up for an important FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ Round 2 qualifier match against China on 21 March 2024. This match will see the debut of Tsutomu Ogura as the new Singapore National Team Head Coach, leading the Lions out onto the pitch at the National Stadium for the first time in a competitive fixture.
Fans are in for a treat as they can purchase tickets for the match at a 40 percent discount. Adult tickets are priced at S$15 and concession tickets at S$6 if fans register on the Ticketek platform and join the pre-sale waitlist that opens on the 24th of February at 12:00pm. Regular adult and concession tickets are priced at S$25 and S$10 respectively.
The Lions have had a rough start to their Group C campaign, suffering losses against Thailand and South Korea. They will look to turn their fortunes around in front of their home crowd at the National Stadium before facing China again in the return fixture on 26 March.
Coach Ogura emphasized the importance of these upcoming matches against China and called for the support of Singaporeans and fans to rally behind the team. With China ranked 79th in the FIFA World Rankings, the Lions will need all the support they can get to secure a positive result.
The ticket sale process for the match includes a pre-sale waitlist on the Ticketek platform, with 20,000 seats available in the first phase of ticket sales. Fans can also enjoy a further discount during the pre-sale period with a Family Bundle promo, which includes two adult tickets and two concession tickets for S$38.
Match tickets can be purchased online or onsite at the Singapore Sports Hub Box Office on match day, subject to availability. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets early to avoid queues and ensure they don’t miss out on the action.
