Changchun Yatai’s Recruitment Strategy for the 2024 Chinese Super League Season
The 2024 Chinese Super League season is fast approaching, and Changchun Yatai is gearing up for the new campaign with a flurry of recruitment activity. Manager Chen Yang has been hard at work shaping his squad for the upcoming season, aiming to build on their ninth-place finish from last year.
One of the key factors in Changchun’s improved form last season was the performances of Brazilian striker Leonardo, who has since moved on to Zhejiang FC after a successful loan spell with the team. With Leonardo’s departure, Chen Yang will need to find a suitable replacement to lead the line alongside China international Tan Long.
In response to these changes, the club has been active in the transfer market, with several notable departures and arrivals already confirmed or reported. Danish center back Jores Okore, who has been a stalwart in the team’s defense, is among the players who have left the club. His absence will leave a void that Chen Yang will need to fill with a reliable replacement.
On the other hand, Changchun Yatai has secured the services of former Slovenian international Robert Berić, who will bolster their attacking options. Berić, who recently departed Tianjin Jinmen Tiger, has shown his goal-scoring prowess in the Chinese Super League and will be a key figure in the team’s forward line.
In addition to Berić, the club is reportedly close to signing Serbian center back Lazar Rosić and Brazilian attacker Guilherme. Both players bring valuable experience to the team, with Rosić providing defensive stability and Guilherme adding creativity to the attacking third.
Domestic signings have also been made, including the addition of Sun Guoliang, Wang Yaopeng, and Wang Yu. These players will provide depth and competition within the squad, as Changchun Yatai aims to build a competitive team for the upcoming season.
Overall, Changchun Yatai’s recruitment drive has been focused on strengthening the squad in key areas, with an emphasis on finding players who can adapt to Chen Yang’s preferred tactics. With the new season fast approaching, fans of the club will be eager to see how the team performs with their new signings in tow.
