Official Poster Revealed for FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup UAE 2024 Dubai

Dubai is gearing up for a sporting extravaganza as the Official Poster for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup UAE 2024 has been unveiled. The artwork, a stunning representation of the beautiful game, draws inspiration from vintage tourism posters, creating a dynamic depiction that encapsulates the sand, sea, and sun of the picturesque setting.

The vibrant illustration captures the essence of excitement, color, and speed at the heart of FIFA’s most goal-heavy competition. With 16 of the globe’s top teams, including illustrious former champions like Brazil and Portugal, the event promises to be a thrilling spectacle. The tournament is scheduled to take place from February 15th to 25th in Dubai, offering fun-filled days in the sun for fans of all ages.

The poster features a star player executing a spectacular bicycle kick, a move synonymous with beach soccer. The foreground showcases the skill and finesse of the athletes, while a packed stadium and Dubai’s majestic skyline form an unmistakable backdrop. Notably, the scene pays homage to the bicycle-kick silhouette that inspired the tournament’s Official Emblem.

This announcement comes hot on the heels of the draw ceremony held at the Mohammed bin Rashid Library in Dubai, which determined the groups for the asian football competition. The draw, conducted on October 9, 2023, unveiled the matchups that will unfold during the 12th edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

Hosts United Arab Emirates headline Group A, where they will face off against debutants Egypt, Italy, and the USA. Group B promises intense competition, featuring Argentina, IR Iran, Spain, and Tahiti, all vying for supremacy. Group C introduces another newcomer, Colombia, taking on Belarus, Japan, and Senegal. Group D sets the stage for a titanic clash between Portugal, the 2015 and 2019 champions, and record five-time winners Brazil. Mexico and Oman complete the group, aiming to spring surprises and secure a spot in the knockout stage.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee and Chairman of the Supreme Local Organising Committee, expressed gratitude for the collaboration that led to the organization of this international sporting event. Jaime Yarza from FIFA shared his excitement, stating that the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup is renowned for its fun, fast-paced, and exciting nature, with more goals per game than any other format of football.

The tournament, initially scheduled for November 2023, was postponed due to concerns about the readiness of the organizers. However, with the new kick-off date set for February 15, 2024, asian football enthusiasts can look forward to witnessing the world’s best beach soccer teams battle it out for glory in the radiant setting of Dubai. The event promises to be a perfect blend of skill, competition, and the unique charm that beach soccer brings to the sporting world.
